As soon as this week, the U.S. Senate will vote on the reconciliation budget bill that would gut Medicaid, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and other lifesaving services millions rely on. All to fund tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy.
Medicaid is the largest payer of addiction treatment in the U.S. Cutting it by $793 billion means more overdose deaths, more suffering, and fewer people getting the help they need to survive.
President Trump has demanded that Congress pass this bill before July 4, and the Senate vote could happen at any moment. It’s one of our last chances to stop the bill to help save Medicaid and other lifesaving programs.
Tell your Senators: Protect Medicaid. Protect our communities. Stop these cuts.
