Kristen's End the War on Medical Marijuana Campaign

I support the CARERS Act because I want to end the federal war on medical marijuana so that patients and their families no longer have to live in fear for simply using the medicine that relieves their suffering.

I have personally known people suffering from cancer and other debilitating illnesses that have benefited from medical marijuana. They should be able to use this medicine without the threat of federal prosecution.

The CARERS Act would help protect patients by ending the federal prohibition of medical marijuana. Passing this legislation is essential but we must keep the pressure on the Senate to move the bill forward. Stand with me and suffering patients by taking action today.

The Drug Policy Alliance is the nation’s leading organization working to end the war on drugs and promotes drug policies that are grounded in science, compassion, health and human rights. DPA is committed to increasing the number of states with medical marijuana laws, supporting and improving existing state medical marijuana programs, protecting medical marijuana patients, and passing the CARERS Act to end the federal ban on medical marijuana so that all patients within the United States have safe access to quality medicine and research into marijuana’s medicinal benefits can move forward.
