Last year, the U.S. House of Representatives made history when it successfully passed the Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment & Expungement (MORE) Act (H.R. 3884) – marking the first time ever a chamber of Congress voted to deschedule marijuana and take steps to right the wrongs of prohibition.
The MORE Act decriminalizes marijuana at the federal level and reinvests marijuana tax revenue back into those most harmed by prohibition, which has disproportionately impacted Black, Latinx, and low-income communities. It also supports the expungement and resentencing of marijuana convictions and funds opportunities for diversifying the marijuana industry.
In this new Congress, we need your help to make history again by ensuring that the next iteration of the MORE Act is swiftly reintroduced and advanced in both chambers of Congress. Take Action: Urge your Members of Congress to support the reintroduction of the MORE Act.
