Historic steps on marijuana reform in the U.S. Senate

The Cannabis Administration and Opportunity Act (CAOA) just became the first comprehensive marijuana reform bill ever introduced in the U.S. Senate, and they took on the issue in a first-of-its-kind Senate committee hearing.

These are historic steps forward in our fight to deschedule marijuana to end federal prohibition and begin to repair the damage by expunging marijuana convictions and reinvesting in the most harmed communities.

But we need to improve the current version of the CAOA so it fully delivers on the justice our communities deserve, just like we did with the MORE Act in the House. The Senate is our last obstacle to federal reform: urge them to strengthen the CAOA so we can advance marijuana justice and nationwide.
