Make addiction treatment available on-demand!

People seeking help with drug use often face more obstacles than support.

Addiction services are underfunded and scarce. There aren’t enough treatment providers or beds to meet demand, treatment is often unaffordable (even with insurance), and, too often, the treatment that is available is not evidence-based or effective.

This leads to long wait times for treatment — with loved ones risking overdose or relapse in the meantime.

If we want to truly support our loved ones experiencing addiction, we have to encourage lawmakers to make addiction treatment and services available, affordable, and accessible on-demand. This includes expanding access to addiction medications like methadone and buprenorphine and providing basic needs for people to survive and be stable enough to find success in treatment.

Lawmakers need to step up and support those experiencing addiction by increasing access to addiction services now.
