Open Overdose Prevention Centers in California

In 2022, more than 9,000 people died from a drug overdose in California alone. It doesn’t have to be this way. Our elected leaders must prioritize saving lives over politics. It’s time to open overdose prevention centers (OPCs) now.

OPCs safe spaces for people to use drugs under the supervision of staff trained to treat and prevent drug overdose and connect people to addiction services and social supports such as drug treatment, food, and housing.
