International Overdose Awareness Day is on August 31 – a time to honor and remember those lost to an overdose and advocate for the solutions that will save lives.
An estimated 72,000 people died from an accidental overdose last year alone, making it the leading cause of death among American adults under 50. We’re in the midst of a public health crisis but overdose deaths are preventable.
Please join us as we honor the lives lost, stand against punitive drug policies and advocate for life-saving solutions. Tell your Members of Congress to support the CARE Act to give states the critical resources they need to address the overdose crisis.
