Despite his promises, Governor Cuomo did not include marijuana legalization in the state budget. Now the only option is enacting it with standalone legislation in the coming months. Cuomo claims to be committed to passing marijuana legalization into law before the legislative session ends on June 19. We need to hold him accountable.
Each day marijuana legalization is not passed, someone is arrested, deported, evicted or loses custody of a child because of criminalization. Each day that New York’s leaders maintain prohibition, someone can’t pass a background check, has their parole revoked, or loses a job.
The clock for passing marijuana justice is ticking. Take action: join us to demand legalization.
