TAKE ACTION: Don’t let Congress cut funding for overdose prevention, treatment & other lifesaving services

Americans from all walks of life are deeply concerned about the impact of addiction, overdose, and fentanyl on our loved ones. Recent declines in overdose deaths show that access to treatment, naloxone, and other health services keep people alive and on a path towards recovery.

Yet, the Trump administration and Congress are gutting these crucial public health solutions. They’ve already cut funding for lifesaving services and programs like Medicaid and SNAP.

And now, the Trump administration is demanding that Congress cut an additional $26 billion from addiction and overdose services in the federal budget through the appropriations process over the next few months. It’s likely they’ll try to slash funding for the CDC and SAMHSA which have provided people nationwide with services that save lives such as naloxone, fentanyl test strips, addiction treatment, recovery supports, and so much more.

We can’t let them get away with taking away more of these services people rely on to survive. Urge your Representative and Senators to protect funding for treatment, overdose prevention, and other lifesaving services immediately.
