The CARERS Act is the most important medical marijuana legislation that has ever been considered by Congress. It would let states legalize medical marijuana without federal interference, allow Veterans Affairs doctors to recommend marijuana to ailing veterans, completely legalize CBD strains of marijuana for medical treatment nationwide, and help end the criminalization of patients and their families. To move forward, Iowa Senator Grassley needs to hold a vote on the CARERS Act in the Senate Judiciary Committee.
